Additional Info: I am a young and enthusiastic oboist and teacher, who graduated in 2007 from the Royal College of Music with Distinction, where I held a Scholarship. Since graduating, I have embarked on a busy freelance career combining my teaching commitments with working with many London Orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of English National Opera and Royal Ballet Sinfonia. I have also worked with Orchestras outside of London, including the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. I also enjoy pit work, and have performed on several shows in the West End and on Tour.

I have at least 10 years of teaching experience behind me, teaching for various Music Services whilst a student. I am currently a visiting teacher of Oboe and Theory at the London Oratory School and also have a number of private pupils in and around the South London area. I have previously held teaching positions at Highbury Grove School and Havering Music School in Essex. I moved to Hertfordshire in September 2011, can drive and willing to travel throughout the County. I Am willing to travel to give lessons at your home. 10 years teaching experience, teaching from 6 years to adult. Current CRB certificate held and my fee is negotiable.

I have a friendly and fun approach to teaching and am not too pushy. I am a strong advocate of ABRSM exams, or equilvalent. I tailor my teaching approach to each student and I am happy for students to come for a trial lesson before they commit to anything further.
Additional Specialisms: Orchestral Playing, Session Work, Solo Performance, Early Music, Contemporary Music, Jazz
